Star Wars: Squadrons gets day one HOTAS support on console

Star Wars: Squadrons has hands-on throttle-and-stick (HOTAS) support on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, EA has confirmed.

Support for HOTAS on console comes via a day one patch, creative director Ian S. Frazier announced on Twitter.

Good news, pilots!

As you may know, Squadrons supports HOTAS (throttle and joystick) controls on PC.

I'm happy to announce that we're adding HOTAS support to both PS4 and Xbox One as well, in a patch that will be available the moment the game goes live! :) #StarWarsSquadrons

While developer EA Motive had already confirmed HOTAS support on PC, console support was fuzzy, as our Martin discussed in our Star Wars: Squadrons hands-on preview.

"Star Wars Squadrons delivers on the promise of a modern-day X-Wing," Martin wrote.
