Pokémon Go 2024 Community Days, Complete List of Featured Pokémon, Dates, and Moves

Trainers, 2024 has just begun, and Pokémon Go is keeping up with its monthly tradition of Community Days. This year, we’re starting off with Rowlet in the spotlight for our first Community Day in January.

Community Days are special events in Pokémon Go that happen once a month globally, where a specific Pokémon species appears more frequently. The highlight is that the evolved form of the featured Pokémon can learn a unique move, usually more powerful than its standard moves. Additionally, these days come with extra bonuses like increased rewards or extended activity times, like Bonus Raid Battles after Community Day.. These events are perfect for bringing players together, especially in bustling city areas.

The journey of Community Days began with Pikachu Day on January 20, 2018. Fast forward to January 2022, Niantic introduced Community Day Classic, reviving a past featured Pokémon for a three-hour event, a format popular before the pandemic, combined with newer bonus benefits. By April, the Community Day duration returned to the classic 3-hour window.

With Rowlet’s day set for January 6, 2024, we’ve seen a total of 73 Pokémon Go Community Days. Some Pokémon like Bulbasaur, Dratini, Eevee, Larvitar, Mareep, Mudkip, Squirtle, and Swinub have had the spotlight twice, while Charmander has appeared three times, possibly hinting at a fondness for this particular starter.

Looking ahead to the rest of 2024, we’re expecting some interesting picks for future Community Days. While these are just our predictions, we’re eyeing Chansey for February, Pikipek for March, and Tympole for April. Keep in mind, that these are speculations, and we’re eager to see what Niantic will reveal.
