Pokémon Go's May Community Day will let you get a shiny Charizard

Fire starter Charmander will be the star of Pokémon Go's next Community Day, the game's monthly meetup event.

May's Community Day will be held on Saturday 19th - a change from the past two month's Sunday gatherings - during the usual 10am to 1pm timeframe in the UK.

The usual three hour lures will be in effect, along with triple Stardust for catching Pokémon and a special move when you evolve your Charmander up to Charizard within the event time-frame (Blast Burn seems most likely).

But the thing all Pokémon Go players want is a shiny Charizard - which is one of, if not the fan favourite shiny Pokémon design. Community Days drastically boost the rate at which the featured Pokémon's shiny form is encountered - so look for lots of these guys in gyms soon after.

Hot.
