Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has a new trailer for E3 2015, this time "directed and edited by Hideo Kojima".
As such, it's appropriately bonkers. A horned Big Boss/Snake stalks the bloody corridors of a hospital as Skullface offers a cryptic exposition dump about his past in that peculiar, drawn-out rhythm that's so unique to Kojima's work.
Set to New Order's 1985 opus Elegia, this is perhaps the talkiest of MGS5's trailers, but it's still plenty exciting with lots of striking imagery as Snake runs from giant robots and evidently hobnobs with Skullface. This is chronologically the latest game in the Big Boss saga, so we can likely expect to see him finish his transition from hero to villain.
Previously Konami removed Kojima's name from MGS5's marketing, so it's a little unusual to see it reinstated in this latest trailer.
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is due on 1st September on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
