UPDATE: It appears the announcement of a Bloody Roar sequel was a hoax.
The @HudsonSoftLtd Twitter page is unofficial, and has posted to say its announcement of a new Bloody Roar game was a joke. Haha.
We'll admit it, we were duped. And trolled. Apologies to all.
ORIGINAL STORY: Hudson has announced a Bloody Roar sequel.
The 3D fighting game is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012, according to a Tweet from the Konami-owned Japanese developer.
According to Siliconera, the next Bloody Roar will be a retail title and a series reboot. The original cast, including Hans, Mitsuko and Greg, will return.
The first Bloody Roar game launched in arcades and on the PS1 in 1997/1998, and was followed by a number of sequels. It was notable for allowing characters to transform into half-human, half-animal creatures. The screenshots below are taken from Bloody Roar 4.
